Introducing Alicia Lantz, one of country music’s rising stars. Growing up on a small farm in Newaygo, Michigan, Alicia started singing at an early age in the church choir, school plays, community theatre, and most importantly to her many animals at chore time. Her friends and family were amazed that such a “little lady” could have such a big voice. Now, at nineteen years old and standing a petite 5ft. 2in. tall, Alicia is ready to share her gift with the world.
Alicia’s voice astounds with its crystal-clear power, inviting comparison to such country-music greats as Reba McEntire and Martina McBride, while retaining a uniqueness all its own. Alicia has the rare musical ability that allows great singers to transform songs into works of art. Her spontaneous style of audience interaction lends to her youthful appeal. This determined young lady has the talent and the tenacity to make things happen.
Reflecting back on her days in Michigan, Alicia remembers that each day was filled with music. As a child, she would “belt it out” in her bedroom singing everything from Reba songs to movie and theater classics. In church she was a member of the choir and did “special appearance” solos on select Sundays. Along with this came lead roles in school musicals, and community theater right around the corner. Community Theater was where she had a chance to perform the numbers she had perfected in her room. She was cast year after year in plays such as “Annie,” “The Sound of Music,” “The King and I,” and “Oliver.” During her senior year of high school, she was given the honor of singing the “National Anthem” at Michigan State Representative, Mike Pumford’s inauguration. She also became a member of PRIDE of Newaygo County, a traveling drug prevention group, promoting a positive and healthy lifestyle thorough performing arts. Her last performance with PRIDE Youth Programs was in Louisville, KY, in April of 2000 where she wowed a crowd of over 4,000 at the 23rd Annual PRIDE World Drug Conference.
Alicia has just completed her first professional demo with a three song track that is guaranteed to prove her abilities as a determined songstress. With these numerous accomplishments behind her, she is looking forward to a bright future. Her love and passion for music is her driving force in life. It is firmly established that she has the ability and staying power equal to many of the legends in the music business today.
