Here's the brief bio Basikly gave us:
...formed in late ‘99, BASIkLY has come a long way in just a short amount of time.
Our story begins back in 1996 when Deke(guitar/vocals) met Thadius (bass/vocals) through a friend/guitarist we both knew. The three of us formed a band, but ended up breaking up after a few years.Frustrated and ready for a long overdue break, we all went our seperate ways.
After a long hiatus(too long if you ask us), Deke and Thadius decided to re-form the band.This time we decided to do things a little different and go with a three piece band. Many hours and practices later, Thadius finally located the third member we had been looking for. His name.....KO III. BASIkLY was born that day.
With the final addition to the band, we all agreed we were going to do something with it this time and not just fade away. Within months, we had built a cover song list of over 50 songs as well as our own original material. Everything (including the three of us) was right and it felt as though we had known each other forever. So, as we progressed as well as our music did, we played a few shows for friends and private parties. The response was overwhelming. We knew we were on to something.
We decided that our next step was to hit the recording studio to put what has become our “heart and soul” on tape. Hope you enjoy!
